Tony and Melinda Loberg

Senior High

We have been working with the youth group since May 2007. We have been married for 19 years and have been blessed with three kids, Matthew (18), Samantha (16), and Andrew(15). They are so great they even put up with their parents as their youth group leaders. We started out primarly working with the jr. high group but are currently leading the sr. high group. One of our highlights in working with the youth so far is the 2008 missions trip to St. Louis, MO. The Pequot Lakes Baptist Youth group is truely an awesome group of kids to work with. Camp Lebanon has been a huge part of our lifes; we have gone to many family camps, work days, and retreats. All three of our kids have attended and worked at camp and we have seen them grow in Christ through the time they have spent there. Tony works for Waste Management and Pelican Township. His hobby is cars (body work, mechanics, racing, anything to do with cars). Melinda works in the kitchen at Lanids+Gyr. Her hobbies are scrapbooking, crafts, and reading.

Junior High

It is my honor to be a youth leader at our church. It’s a calling I never before knew I had. I am convinced that I’m supposed be be there. I am married, with 2 kids, & 1 awesome grandson. My wife & I will celebrate our 20th anniversary in September. I am a native of California, but after 17 years , call Pine River my home. I am a machinist by trade, with over 20 years in the field. Both my wife & I are veterens of the Army, having served all over the place. I also work for the Pequot Lakes school, as the youth program development coordinator. Which means I run the teen center. I am also a volunteer who is very active in Timber Bay ministries. We work with teens from all over, with our focus on the kids in our community. I enjoy outdoor sports such as snowmobiling, boating, camping, & golf. I truly enjoy working with kids, trying to make a difference in their lives.
